Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932) was a Scottish writer best known for The Wind in the Willows (1908). Born in Edinburgh, he worked at the Bank of England and served as its secretary from 1898 to 1908.

His stories of Mole, Ratty, Badger, and Mr. Toad bring together riverbank adventure, friendship, and the pull of home.
